Final Test
- Worth 100 points
- Excused absence, F until made up. You have until the next test to make it up for full credit (at least a week)
- Unexcused absence, you have 4 days to take the test for partial credit, after 4 days you will need to take the test for no credit.
- Thrown out of class that day, F on the test, but must take the test to get 70% mastery without credit
- Talking with a test in your hand F, but must get 70% mastery for no credit
- Talking when you are done and others are still testing, loss of one letter grade
- Cheating on a test will result in an F, but still must meet 70% mastery for no credit
- Passing is 70%, there are no D letter grades
Retesting
- All tests must have 70% mastery
- You will retake the test until 70% mastery is achieved
- Only one retake is allowed for a maximum of 70%
- You will be given the higher of the two grades
- Every retake after will be for no credit, but still must be 70% mastery
Homework
- All homework assignments must have 70% mastery
- Given class time to work on most assignments
- Normally 6 assignments per chapter (4 graded assessments and 2 employability grades)
- If you don’t do the homework you won’t pass the class
- If you are caught with someone else’s homework, both students will get an F, but must be made up to 70% mastery with no credit
- Homework is individual work, not group work
- Passing is 70%, there are no D letter grades
Tardies
- Be in the room before the bell starts to ring
- If you are more than 15 minutes late to class without a pass you are absent
- Tardies are part of your employability grade (25%)
Late work
- Late work must be turned in within 4 days of due date for partial credit
- If you have an excused absence the work will be due any time before the test for full credit
Grading (Assessment Category 65%)
- This category contains tests, chapter assessments, and projects
- Everything in this category must be at 70% mastery
Grading (Employability Skills Category 25%)
- This category contains attendance, tardies, dress code, ID’s, phones, timeliness on non-assessment assignments, bringing required materials to class, borrowing books, going to your locker to get required materials, and general professional behavior
- Items in this category cannot be made up.
Final Test
- The final test for the Fall Semester is over Chapter 4 to 12 and is worth 10% of your grade.
- The final test for the Spring Semester is over Chapter 13 to 20 and is worth 10% of your grade.
